Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front office operations, ensuring a smooth patient experience from check-in to check-out. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical office procedures, and proficiency in various healthcare systems.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and assist with the check-in process.
Verify insurance information and perform insurance verification to ensure coverage.
Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
Handle patient inquiries and provide exceptional patient service.
Maintain accurate patient records through documentation review and data entry in electronic health record systems such as EyeMD and AdvancedMD.
Process incoming calls, emails, and messages efficiently.
Assist with medical coding for billing purposes as needed.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless operations within the office.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Experience

Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
Familiarity with insurance verification processes is essential.
Knowledge of medical coding practices is a plus.
Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly EyeMD and AdvancedMD, is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
