This position performs administrative duties in support of department operations.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
MAJOR DUTIES Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; refers to appropriate personnel; takes messages. Maintains office supply inventory; makes purchases as needed. Updates information in computerized databases. Opens new cases for investigators. Opens, sorts and distributes mail. Prepares invoices for copy charges. Assists investigators with preparing notices for mailing. Mails Grand Jury letters. Receives and forwards faxes. Performs related duties. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Knowledge of computers and job related software programs. Knowledge of departmental policies, procedures and functions. Skill in the provision of customer services. Skill in public and interpersonal relations. Skill in oral and written communication.
