Job Overview
The Event Manager is responsible for day-of oversight and direction of execution for events held in our private event venues. Individuals in this vital role will ensure that event details outlined during the planning phase are carried out to specifications, while meeting or exceeding the company’s service level expectations and upholding the policies/procedures to ensure enjoyment and safety and of employees and guests.
Availability Requirements: Applicants must be available to work a minimum of 2 weekends (Fri – Sun) per month, with some weekday availability (daytime and/or evening), as needed.
Job Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
- Prepares for execution by thoroughly reviewing event documents/details.
- Oversees day-of event execution to ensure that details of the day match the final Event Summary document and meet service level expectations required by the company.
- Directs, supervises & supports all hourly front-of house Event Staff (may include pre-event setup, event duration, and post-event breakdown).
- Enforces all venue policies and procedures and ensures they are adhered to by clients, guests, hired vendors, and employees.
- Enforces all safety protocols & adherence to health code regulations.
- Maintains a professional and service-oriented attitude throughout the entirety of the shift.
- Proactively identifies impending issues/concerns with execution and implements effective problem-solving tactics to respond to challenges.
- Collaborates with Event Operations Manager, Event Planners, clients, outside vendors, front-of-house team, and back-of-house team to ensure smooth and timely day-of execution.
- Enters event order into company’s POS system to account for financials.
- Cross-checks and edits any hourly front-of-house timeclock entries for the event day.
- Closes & secures venues following the events per guidelines set forth.
- Provides post-event overview and feedback to the Event Operations Manager highlighting areas of focus (positive or negative) to address with the team.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years management experience in the hospitality field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in food & beverage service.
- Physical ability to endure prolonged standing, moving through an event space, and bending, scooping, and lifting/carrying approx. 40 lbs.
· Preferred:
- Higher education degree.
- Degrees or certifications in hospitality, or related fields.
- Experience managing and coordinating large-scale private events, including weddings.
- Experience managing front-of-house teams in a restaurant or private event setting.

- Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of POS systems and Microsoft Office.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
